Fremented food is defined as processed foods which are fermented by effects from microorganisms.

In this test, we examined how the ingestion of Natto Fremented Exarcts (NFE) influence on blood pressure, using two models of SHR (Spontaneously Hyperactive Rat*1) and SHR-SP (Spontaneously Hyperactive Stroke Prone Rat*2) - they both commonly used as to establish a method of treatment for essential hypertension and screeing antihypertensive - to compare with normotensive WKY rat.

A further development of SHR that has even higher blood pressure (40-50mm Hg) than SHR and a strong tendency to die from stroke.
